Dr. Coletta also has extensive experience providing psychotherapy with individuals and families who are at various stages of the substance abuse/dependence and codependence recovery process.
Dr. Coletta's research and clinical interests focus on the human-animal bond, integrating therapy animals into the psychotherapeutic process, and studying how pets positively impact one's physical and mental health. Dr. Coletta's doctoral research culminated in a dissertation book entitled "Animal-Assisted Therapy: A Group Therapy Treatment Manual for Children Exposed to Trauma".
